Welcome!

Art has always been an integral part of who I am, woven into the very fabric of my identity. Coming from a long line of farmers, creativity, making, and growing have been ever-present values in my family. This deep-rooted desire to create finds expression in everything I do.
From my earliest years in elementary school, I have been drawn to drawing and painting. Despite not having received formal art training initially, I have dedicated myself to mastering a range of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels, all through self-teaching and persistent practice.
Today, I continue to live in the Midwest, settled in Campton Hills, Illinois, with my husband and two daughters. Although my career path diverged from my family’s tradition of farming, that same passion for creation continues to fuel my artistic journey.

Among the various mediums I have explored throughout my artistic journey, oil painting stands out as my favorite. There is something inherently romantic about working with oils; the richness of texture and depth they provide lends a unique quality to every piece. This medium allows me to express emotion and detail in ways that feel both profound and satisfying.
While oil paints are my preferred choice, I also enjoy working with pastels and charcoal. Although I sometimes experience a "nails on a chalkboard" sensation when using these materials, their versatility and expressive potential make them rewarding to work with.

Lighting, shadows, and highlights breathe life into art, shaping the mood and guiding the viewer's eye to what you want them to see.
There is nothing more inspirational than a good sunset casting its light to make vivid colors and dramatic contrasts
